Development of Grinding Equipment and Theory Research Based on Discrete Element Method

摘要: 磨矿是矿物加工的重要环节,矿石中有用矿物能否充分单体解离、粒度达到选别要求对选矿指标具有决定性的作用。在过去三十年中,离散元法(DEM)已成为了解磨矿机理并为磨矿设备的设计、优化和操作提供理论指导的重要工具。随着时间的推移,DEM在模拟矿石破碎、研磨以及设备磨损等方面的应用越来越广泛和复杂,这使得人们对磨矿过程的理解发生了重大变化。本文介绍了DEM在磨矿领域的应用背景及其基本原理,分类综述了DEM在球磨机、搅拌磨机、自磨机/半自磨机等三类磨矿设备中的应用现状,并进一步阐述了基于DEM的磨矿理论研究进展,指出了DEM在磨矿领域研究中的独特优势及其发展方向。Abstract: Grinding is an important part of mineral processing. Whether the useful minerals in the ore can fully dissociate the monomers and the particle size meets the sorting requirements has a decisive effect on the mineral processing index. In the past three decades, the Discrete Element Method (DEM) has become an important tool for understanding the grinding mechanism and providing theoretical guidance for the design, optimization and operation of grinding equipment. Moreover, with the passage of time, the application of DEM in simulating ore crushing, grinding and equipment wear has become more and more extensive and complex, which has led to tremendous changes in people's understanding of the grinding process. In this paper, the basic principles of DEM and its application background in the field of grinding are introduced, and the application status of DEM in three types of grinding equipment such as ball mills, stirring mills, and self-mills/semi-automatic mills are summarized. Subsequently, it further elaborated the research progress of DEM-based grinding theory, and pointed out the unique advantages of DEM in the field of grinding research and its development direction.
