Electroplating of Zinc on Pipe Fittings

  • 摘要: 以CT-2为光亮剂的氯化钾电镀锌在玛钢水暖件上施镀时,其电流效率为95%,镀层光亮细致,其耐蚀性与低碳钢上的镀锌层相近,证明水暧件原材料的成分及其铸态表面缺陷对电镀锌的质量无显著影响,但电镀锌与热浸锌相比可大大降低锌和能量单耗,降低成本,可用电镀锌来代替现行的热浸锌。

     

    Abstract: Electroplating of zinc on pipe fittings from a potassium chloride containing bath with brightener CT-2 was found to be a very good process with current efficiency of 95 pct and bright electroplate which has corossion resistance being almost the same as that of zinc electroplates on mild steel, which showed that the composition and the casting surface defaults of the pipe fittings had no significant effects on the quality of the electroplates. Therefore, electroplating of zinc on pipe fittings should be substituted for hot dipping process of zinc because the cost of zinc electroplating would be lower than that of hot dipping process due to the low er consumption of zinc and energy of the electroplating.
