Machining Features Sequencing of Cross Wedge Rolling Tools

  • On the basis of the computer-aided design/computer-aided process planning (CAD/CAPP) integration information model of cross wedge rolling tools (CWRT), a machining features sequencing algorithm for CWRT was constructed with the creative decision-making method based on knowledge and VC++ object-oriented programming technique. Through properly arranging subtasks and defining constraints at different stages, the feasibility and agility of tool process planning were guaranteed. The practicability of this machining features sequencing algorithm was proved by analyzing a typical CWRT.
