Integrated Control Theory of Tap-to-tap Time and Its Application

  • Based on the analysis of developmental characters of modern EAF technology in the past forty years, it is pointed out that modern EAF technology has developed around the goal of shortening tap-to-tap time to meet the rapid continuous casting rhythm and the integrated control theory of modern EAF melting tap-to-tap time is proposed. The effective EAF steelmaking technologies including hot metal charging technology and the application of the theory to EAF steel production in China are introduced. The integrated control theory of modern EAF melting tap to tap time has directed and promoted the development of iron and steel metallurgy and EAF steel production in China.
