Predicting model for the migration trajectory and velocity of the ore-rock dispersions in a storage section of orepass
- Available Online:
Abstract: For accurately predicting the migration state of ore-rock dispersions in the ore pass storage section, a prediction model of ore pass trajectory and velocity is established. Firstly, during the silo unloading process, the movement law of ore-rock dispersions in the ore-storage section was analyzed according to the similarity of the particles` movement characteristics and the flow characteristics of the ideal fluid flow unit. Secondly, the concept of flow network and Beverloo empirical formula was quoted to establish the ore-rock migration network, analyzed the relationship between the section and the velocity of the ore-rock movement in the ore-storage section of ore pass. Finally, under certain assumed conditions, according to the distribution characteristics of streamline and equipotential surface, the equation of the displacement, the migration trajectory and the velocity of ore-rock moving in the ore-storage section were established. The results show that, firstly, after entering the ore-storage section of the ore pass, the ore-rock will pass through the uniform and the variable speed zone, and lead to a uniform linear downward motion and a variable speed curve motion respectively. Second, when the dip angle of the ore draw-hole is small, the lower ore-rock has no displacement, which carries out the "empty ring effect. " And thirdly, the quality of the ore-rock drawing-out in a unit time is equal to that of the ore-rock passing through the same equipotential surface. The predicting model shows that the ore-rock migration state in the uniform speed zone is related to the diameter of the section of ore-storage and ore-discharge, and the ore-rock particle size et al. The migration state of ore-rock in the variable speed zone is also related to the location of ore-rock and the inclination angle of ore draw-hole.
