Abstract:
"Carbon peaking" and "carbon neutrality" are a general macro concept that provides a general theoretical framework and basic concepts for China's future economic and environmental development. Based on the in-depth analysis of the "Double Carbon" goal, China's steel industry is in a state of "carbon lock-in", and only by simultaneous technological and institutional changes can "carbon unlock" be achieved. Combined with the current iron and steel industry production structure, energy-saving emission reduction level and CO2 emissions status, it is pointed out that reasonable setting of carbon peak time and peak value and increasing the proportion of all scrap EAF are practical and effective ways to reduce carbon emission in iron and steel industry in the short term. However, the realization of "carbon neutrality" also depends on the development and application of hydrogen metallurgy and carbon capture, utilization and storage technologies, as well as institutional changes. Based on the theoretical research, equipment development and practical in-depth research on all-scrap electric arc furnace related aspects in recent years, a series of key technologies have been developed to meet the current requirements of the current Continuous casting production process rhythm and molten steel quality control, and provide theoretical support for the development of all-scrap electric arc furnace.
