Electrochemical Reduction of B(Ⅲ) in Molten Fluorides

  • 摘要: 用循环伏安法和卷积技术研究了LiF-NaF低共熔体中,以KBF4形式加入的B (Ⅲ)在铂电极上阴极还原机理.结果表明,B (Ⅲ)的电化学还原为简单的三电子一步反应,阴极过程在所研究的扫描速度下接近于可逆过程,且受扩散控制,硼在铂电极上形成可溶性产物.

     

    Abstract: The mechanism of the cathode process of B(Ⅲ) on a platinum electrode in molten LiF-NaF-KBF4 at 750℃ has been investigated by means of cyclic voltammetry and convolution technique.It Was found that the electrochemical reduction of B(Ⅲ) to elementary boron is a simple three-electron process involving alloy formation with the platinum electrode.The cathodic process is very close to a reversible process and is diffusion controlled.
