Preparation and Analysis of Titanium Di- and Trichlorides
The paper studied the reactions for the formation of subhalides with average valence being less than 2.5 by the reaction of titanium with its liquid tetrachloride at lower temperature 973K in KCl melt. An improved hydrogen evolution method has been developed to determine Ti2+ and Ti3+.
