Microstructure Characteristic of In-situ TiC/Al-Fe-V-Si Composites Prepared by Spray Forming

  • The effect of TiC particles formed by in-situ reactions on the microstructure of spray-formed Al-8.5Fe-l.4V-l.7Si alloys was studied by means of XRD, OM, SEM and TEM. The results show that needle-shaped AlFeSi is suppressed by TiC and TiC particles distributed homogeneously in the alloy matrix.
