Abstract
Accumulative roll bonding (ARB) industrial experiments of Q235 plain carbon steel and L2 pure Al were carried out with a multi-function hot-rolling mill. The effects of deformation temperature, reduction and cycle pass on the tensile strength, stress-to-strain relation, microhardness and plasticity of these two metal mate-rials were investigated, and the reasons for these effects were analyzed. The results indicated that Q235 plain carbon steel and L2 pure Al could be well-bonded themselves by ARB process without the addition of any strengthening elements, their tensile strength increased, but their plasticitv decreased in a certain extent.
